The problem may be that you have an anticipation of what you buy is odorless, but it is not always the case. Should you be unfortunate enough to your used furniture smells of smoke or stale and moldy so do not worry, there is help available.

There are several different options to solve the problem, the one a little expensive than the other. Some choose to avail themselves of companies offering to Removing the odor from a somewhat higher price than if you do it yourself. All you need is to create a mixture of a little hot water and some vinegar in a bowl or a bowl. Here, after you take a cloth and cause your homemade cleaning mixture on your couch. Open like a window, so there is little fresh air in, and then let the furniture dry for a couple hours. The process repeats when the couch was dry again.

Should smell being so bad that in the above experiments did not go away, there is another trick to try out. It only requires 3 part water and 5-6 tablespoons of disinfectant  for outdoor use ( e.g "Rodalon" ), so stir well together in a bowl. Try your final mix on a small piece of furniture, perhaps a corner where you can not see it, to ensure that the furniture can withstand the treatment.
